I’ve been waiting for this weekend for some time. I know that this would be the girls weekend when I get to see all my best girlfriends all at once. This is really a rare thing, since almost every one of us lives in different places, and have different life situations. This means, finding a good weekend for everyone is really difficult.
This weekend was booked quite a lot in advance and now finally it was time to go to my home town Turku to have a girls weekend. It was perfect. We started Saturday off by having a friends photo shoot (!!). We have wanted to do something like this already for a while, and finally it happened. It was so much fun, and I can’t wait to get the results! After the photo shoot we went to one of the girls to eat and get ready for a party. The night out was so much fun and I’ll remember this as one of the must fun weekends this summer!
This was a recipe I found a while back on Vanelja’s blog. Finally I tried to make them, and it was the easiest recipe ever! You have to try it! The only change I made to the recipe was to change out the cinnamon to vanilla powder (I loove vanilla) and add just a little bit of oats.
Here is the recipe:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1,5 dl of shredded coconut
- 2 tsp of vanilla
- 2 tbsp of oats
Preheat the oven to 175 C degrees, and bake for 15-20min. Done! :)
We have few weddings coming up this summer (feels like everyone is getting married) and this was the first one. My cousin got married and was the first of us “kids” getting married on my mom’s side of the family. The wedding was so much fun and it was also fun to see the whole family and relatives at once.
It has been quite a cold summer this year but fortunately this weekend was really warm and sunny. The wedding was located in this beautiful wooden building on a hill, overseeing the small city of Jakobstad. I’m so happy for my cousin and her husband, and I hope they have a super lovely life together (and with their cute son) <3 More wedding posts to come, since we still have two more weddings this summer.. :)
This midsummer we spent at T’s summer place. The midsummer itself was great, but unfortunately the weather was not on our side. The weather wasn’t that bad, it was just cold. But, not to get too caught on the weather, we tried to make the best of the long weekend. We sat by the fire and grilled food, played board games way too many times, and just enjoyed each others company. So all in all, even though the weather sucked, midsummer was great! Here are a few more snapshots from the weekend.
I’ve lately started to really like to eat my smoothies with a spoon, instead of drinking it. This is probably because it gives me the option to put much more berries, granola, and seeds on top of the smoothie. By putting berries and seeds on top of the smoothie, it makes it much more filling. Usually my smoothie consists of some kind of mix of berries, but totally green smoothies are great too! In this one I had:
- 2 dl strawberries
- 1 dl blueberries
- 1 banana
- 1 dl oat milk
- 2 dl spinach
- 1 tbs chia seeds
- 2 tbs hemp seeds
- 0,5 dl oats
